Birthing with Lauren

Hello!

I’m Lauren the owner of Birthing with Lauren LLC. I’m a birth doula based in Logan, OH. Proudly serving families throughout Central & Southeast OH, with a professional background in Early Childhood Education and a heart for nurturing families through life’s most transformative moments. My work is rooted in warmth, clarity, and empowerment, and I bring a deep understanding of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care alongside child development and, family support to every birth I attend.

Before stepping into birth work, I spent years supporting young children and their caregivers learning firsthand how powerful it is when families feel seen, heard, and supported. That experience shapes my doula practice: I approach each birth with emotional intelligence, practical and evidence-based guidance, and a commitment to honoring your unique journey.

Whether you’re preparing for your first baby or adding to your growing family, I’m here to help you feel confident, calm, heard and connected. I’m currently working toward DONA International certification and building a client-centered practice that respects your voice, your choices, and your strength.

Let’s walk this path together. You’ve got this and I’ve got you.

Birth Support

From first contractions to baby’s arrival

When labor starts, I’m with you—whether you call at 2 a.m. or text when having early contractions. I’ll offer calm support and guidance. During birth, I stay by your side with comfort, emotional grounding, and advocacy. I don’t clock out; I stay present until your baby arrives and you’re settled. My role: to keep you safe, supported, heard, and empowered, no matter how birth unfolds.

Postpartum Care

Support after birth

After birth, I’ll stay with you for roughly 2 hours, supporting skin-to-skin bonding, feeding, and your care. I communicate your preferences to providers and offer quiet reassurance as you start your postpartum journey. I’ll also provide one postpartum visit (home or virtual) and keep in touch via text or call for ongoing support for six weeks.
